Debris chair, 2019
fabricated at Hochschule Luzern D&K

PLA (polylactic acid) chair made from plastic waste originated from the melted down remains of the nearby synthetic filaments industry. the object examines how resources which are no longer economically relevant can still be used for small series. the molds for the individual parts are designed so that they can fit in a conventional kitchen oven. the PLA already melts at 160 ° C and can therefore be easily processed in a repurposed oven.
